  • If installing a Smarter AI Dashcam G for the first time, ask your customer to create an installer account using your email address. Once created, you will receive a login link via email from Smarter AI.

  • If you are a standard user, you can login to the Smarter AI app with your existing credentials.

Components

  • In the Cameras tab, tap the 'live' button for the camera you want to install. This will open a livestream view of the cabin and roadside stream for that camera.

  • Hold the camera on the windshield without taking off the adhesive strip.

  • Switch to the in-cabin view and ensure that your face, in the standard driving position, is not obstructed by any objects like the rearview mirror or air freshener.

  • View the roadside livestream on your mobile app and ensure the horizon line (where the sky meets land) is centered in the footage.

  • Mark the camera position with a tape or any other tool.

  • Remove the adhesive and attach the camera to the marked position.

  • Once the camera is mounted, fine-tune the position of both imagers by loosening the camera locking screws with the provided hex key. The cameras can be swiveled up or down in small 'clicks'.

  • Once you have fine tuned the view on both imagers, tighten both camera locking screws.

  • Install the I/O cover on top of the camera and tighten the screw with the hex key.

Web Dashboard

Manage and Operate your Dashcams from your GeoTab Dashboard.

  • The Dashcam is ready to be onboarded when the Cellular/Wi-Fi indicator blinks blue. If the indicator is solid green, skip to section 5.

  • Open the Smarter AI mobile app and tap the “+” icon to add your new camera.

  • Tap your camera serial number to connect. You can also press the camera’s physical button to highlight it in the app or tap the bell icon in the app to make the camera chime.

  • Connect the other end of the cable to the Smarter AI Dashcam G.
